Construction of a New Build Development.
The development consists of x316 new build Aparthotel, 623 bed student accommodation block and ground floor retail spaces.
The MEP services for the development are to be based on traditional wet/wet systems from central plant c/w CHP & ASHP linked to RHI payments over the next 20 years. The added features developed for this scheme are to utilise combined heating and power and air source heat pumps for energy efficient hot water and heating strategies, twinned with heat pump boilers and duty assist boiler plant.
The Aparthotel is to comprise of an array of hybrid VRF air conditioning systems twinned with mechanical heat recovery, grey water from showers and OH3 Sprinkler protection. The services employed for this development have been specifically selected to ensure the buildings (Aparthotel & student block) attain BREEAM Excellent status.
