Construction of a New Build Development.

The development consists of a x3 floors of commercial space, x350 new build apartments spanning an array of buildings from x4 to 11 storeys.

The MEP services for the development are to be based on traditional wet/wet systems from central plant c/w CHP & ASHP linked to RHI payments over the next 20 years. The added features developed for this scheme are to utilise combined heating and power and air source heat pumps for energy efficient hot water and heating strategies, twinned with heat pump boilers and duty assist boiler plant.

The apartments are to receive MVHR c/w refrigeration circuits due to the overheating issues as pre-determined by the CIBSE TM59 overheating assessment when compared to the CIBSE DSY2 2050 weather data files.

The services employed for this development have been specifically selected to ensure the buildings (Commercial) attain BREEAM Excellent status, with the residential attaining a min of 35% improvement over Part L1A 2013 of the Building Regulations.
